The Azim Premji Scholarship is a part of the Azim Premji Foundation’s commitment to improving the quality and equity of education in India. The initiative seeks to support girl students from disadvantaged background to pursue college education through an annual scholarship of INR 30,000 awarded for the full duration of their first undergraduate degree or diploma course

Eligibility
All girl students who have
- Passed both Class 10 and Class 12 as a regular student from a government school or college in any of the eligible States or Union Territories*
- Have taken admission in the first year (for academic session 2025–26) as a regular student of a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma course (2 to 5 years duration) at a government or a (credible and bona fide) private college or university, anywhere in India.

Scholarship Process and Timeline


- Caution: Azim Premji Foundation does not charge any fee at any stage of the scholarship application process. Beware of impostors who make such statements. We request you to exercise caution and not fall prey to such scams.
How to Apply?
Documents required
To complete your application, submit the following documents online through our website only. There is NO FEE for submission of application.
Passport Photograph
- A 2X2 inch recent coloured photo of your front-face view taken in last 6 months
- DO NOT SUBMIT a selfie or a photo that has emojis, filters, any object covering your face or any other person in it.
Signature
- A clear image of your signature on a plain white paper
AADHAAR Card
- A clear, coloured, and unedited soft copy of the front side of your AADHAAR card which has your name, photograph, date of birth, and gender clearly visible
- DO NOT SUBMIT screenshot, blurred or photocopy of the AADHAAR card
Bank Details
- A clear and unedited soft copy of the first page of your bank account passbook which has account holder’s name, account number, IFSC, and branch details clearly visible on it.
- If you do not have a passbook or the information on the passbook is handwritten or not clearly visible, then submit a bank account statement of the last 1 month with account holder’s name, account number, IFSC, and branch details clearly visible on it.
- DO NOT SUBMIT documents that are blurred, not clearly readable, have overwriting, or have required information handwritten on them.
- Make sure your savings account is in a scheduled commercial bank and active.
Class 10 Marksheet
- A clear and unedited soft copy of the front side of your Class 10 marksheet
- DO NOT SUBMIT online marksheet or transfer/leaving certificates or documents that are password protected, blur, not clearly readable, photocopy, print outs, cropped or edited, or has emojis or anything else written on it
Class 12 Marksheet
- A clear and unedited soft copy of the front side of your Class 12 marksheet
- DO NOT SUBMIT online marksheet or transfer/leaving certificates or documents that are password protected, blur, not clearly readable, photocopy, print outs, cropped or edited, or has emojis or anything else written on it
College Admission Proof
- A clear and unedited soft copy of either your Bonafide Certificate OR Tuition Fee Receipt with your name, college name, degree name, course name, year of study, start date of your course, issue date, academic year, and seal/sign of issuing authority clearly visible on it
- DO NOT SUBMIT documents that are password protected, blur, not clearly readable, photocopy, print outs, cropped or edited, or has emojis or anything else written on it

1. What is the purpose of Azim Premji Scholarship?
The purpose of Azim Premji Scholarship is to support girl students from disadvantaged backgrounds to pursue their college education. This initiative is part of the Azim Premji Foundation’s overall commitment to improve the quality and equity of education in India.
2. Who is eligible for the Azim Premji Scholarship in year 2025-26?
All girl students who have:
- Passed both Class 10 and Class 12 as a regular student from a government school or college in any of the eligible States or Union Territories.
- Have taken admission in the first year (for academic session 2025–26) as a regular student of a recognised undergraduate degree or diploma course (2 to 5 years duration) at a government or a private college or university (credible and bona fide), anywhere in India. This should be the first undergraduate degree or diploma of the applicant.
You are not eligible if,
- You have secured admission in any programme of the Azim Premji University for the academic year 2025–26 or before.
- You are or have been a recipient of Wipro’s scholarships, for example, the Santoor scholarship.
3. Which States or Union Territories are eligible for this year 2025-26?
All girl students who have passed both Class 10 and Class 12 as a regular student from a government school or college of the following states/UT Union Territory are eligible for this year.
(1) Arunachal Pradesh, (2) Assam, (3) Bihar, (4) Chhattisgarh, (5) Jharkhand, (6) Karnataka, (7) Madhya Pradesh, (8) Manipur, (9) Meghalaya, (10) Mizoram, (11) Nagaland, (12) Odisha, (13) Rajasthan, (14) Sikkim, (15) Telangana, (16) Tripura, (17) Uttar Pradesh, (18) Uttarakhand and (19) Puducherry.
4. Am I eligible if I am pursuing my undergraduate degree/diploma in a distance learning mode?
No. You have to be a first-year regular student (for academic session 2025–26) of a recognised degree or diploma course (2 to 5 years duration) at a government or a (credible and bona fide) private college or university, anywhere in India. This should be your first undergraduate degree or diploma after passing Class 12.
5. Am I eligible if I am in second, third, fourth, or fifth year of my undergraduate degree/diploma course?
No. You have to be a first-year regular student (for academic session 2025–26) of a recognised degree or diploma course (2 to 5 years duration) at a government or a (credible and bona fide) private college or university, anywhere in India. This should be your first undergraduate degree or diploma after passing Class 12.
6. Is the Azim Premji Scholarship awarded based on merit?
No, the scholarship is not awarded based on merit; however, you must meet the eligibility criteria as specified in question 2 of this document.
7. Is there an age limit to apply for the Azim Premji Scholarship?
