Field Institutes, Grants and University: Our three operating units work together in an integrated manner towards our vision
Education has been at the core of our work right from the beginning. We started off with programmatic interventions in government schools, with a view to improving and enriching learning outcomes.
After a decade of working with schools and educators through various interventions, we shifted our approach to a more institutional mode. Now our network of Field Institutes carries out extensive on-the-ground work in Education, Health and Livelihoods.

The Azim Premji University, with campuses in Bengaluru and Bhopal, furthers the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening the social sector by building new capacity.
Apart from our direct work in Education, Health and Livelihoods, the work of the Foundation also spans other important areas of equity and human well-being. This happens through our financial grants to not-for-profits and civil society organisations.

Field Institutes
Our Field Institutes are spread across 61 districts of 6 states. We run 10 schools in 4 states to provide safe, meaningful, and enriching experiences for children. With over 20 years of work in School Education, we are now expanding our Field presence in Health and Livelihoods.

Grants
Our financial grants to not-for-profits and civil society organisations help them in their work across various areas. This is an affirmation of our aim to improve the lives of the vulnerable and the marginalised.

University
We build capacity for the social sector through our university in Bengaluru and Bhopal. Over 5,300 students have graduated from our university.
