Education is where our story began, and it continues to be at the centre of our efforts
We focus on providing quality education to all, through the country’s vast network of government schools. Collaborations are key to our work, and we work with governments on various aspects of school education: such as enhancing capacity, knowledge and perspective of teachers and other functionaries in the field, textbook and curricula development and encouraging better practices in schools.
The Azim Premji University, in Bengaluru and Bhopal, carries forward our commitment to education with a social purpose.
Apart from Education, Health and Livelihoods are the two other significant areas of our work. In both these sectors, too, we collaborate with governments and work with numerous partners across the country.
Our canvas of work grows wider and more diverse with our Grants and Art and Culture functions. Our grants support 1,150 not-for-profits working in various parts of India. Our Art and Culture function articulates the purpose of the Foundation through stories.

We work to improve health of vulnerable communities in villages and in urban settlements

Dignity goes hand in hand with increased and sustained income, and we support various groups and communities in achieving that
