We supported 25,000+ girl students across Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh in 2024-25

Our experience and insights from our extensive on-ground work in the domain of education tell us that access to education becomes increasingly difficult when a student, especially a girl, transitions from primary to secondary schooling. The inequity becomes more pronounced when it comes to higher education. Various factors compel girl students to drop out of the system – from proximity to institutions to financial constraints. In some cases, social mores become impediments in a girl’s journey and participation in higher education.

In 2024-25, the Foundation supported over 25,000 girl students who passed both Grade X and XII from a government school and secured admission in the first year of a regular degree or diploma programme of a government or bona fide private college/ university.

A scholarship of INR 30,000 per year for the entire duration (two, three, four or five years) of the undergraduate diploma/degree programme was provided to these students to cover tuition fees or any other expenses incurred towards completion of their education.
