This requires continual engagement with the country’s public systems, numerous government agencies and stakeholders as well as communities — including some of India’s most vulnerable and marginalised people in remote geographies.
School Teacher for Azim Premji Schools
Role overview:
Teach students at Azim Premji Schools, which seek to provide quality K-12 education rooted in constitutional values. Teachers are expected to contribute to holistic learning experiences both within and beyond the classroom. We require candidates for all subjects and specialisations.
Eligibility:
- Graduate or postgraduate in BEd/ DLeD/ MEd
- Minimum 1 year full-time formal teaching experience
- Fluency in English and Hindi/ Kannada
Location: Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand
Resource Person – School Education
Role overview:
Work deeply in improving the quality of education offered through the government school system. This includes capacity-building of teachers, head teachers, education functionaries and other stakeholders. A Resource Person functions within block and district-level teams to strengthen teaching practices and educational processes.
Eligibility:
- Graduation or postgraduation
- Minimum 5 years’ (for graduates) or 2 years’ (for postgraduates) work experience in teaching/ public education or related social sector domains
- Fluency in English and Hindi/ Kannada
Location: Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand
Resource Person – Health
Role overview:
Support community health initiatives and the delivery of primary healthcare in a block. Work with the units of our public health system (PHCs and sub-centres) and stakeholders to improve healthcare delivery at the community level.
Eligibility:
- Postgraduate degree in related fields (public health, social work, development studies, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years’ on-ground work experience with the public health system and communities in rural areas
- Fluency in English and Hindi/ Kannada
Location: Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand
Resource Person – Livelihoods
Role overview:
Promote livelihood opportunities including but not limited to horticulture, livestock, natural resource management (NRM), non-timber forest produce (NTFP) for vulnerable and marginalised communities, especially in India’s central Adivasi belt. Work closely with the block- and district-level line departments and with communities to enhance sustainable livelihood practices for increased income of families.
Eligibility:
- Postgraduate degree in related fields (agriculture, horticulture, rural management, livestock, etc.)
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant on-ground work experience
- Fluency in Hindi and English
